I am George.
I am Zerlina.
And this is...
...Our Story.
Back in 2024, at the Gene Louw Traffic College, fate quietly stepped in and without realising it, we began to create a space that would become our home.
Among the routine and rush of everyday life, that's where I first saw Zerlina. There was something about her—effortless, confident, and completely captivating. In my mind, she felt out of my league... the kind of person you admire from a distance and convince yourself not to get too close to. So, I did the only thing that felt safe—I offered friendship.
While I watched George work, laugh, and move, my heart saw more than my eyes could ever observe. The way he moved seemed to say, "This is who I am—and this is what I do." And I found myself wanting more... to see more, to know more, to laugh more: captivated by the energy that made it feel as though we were the only two people in the room, untouched by anything beyond the moment we were living in.
That brief encounter opened a door neither of us wanted to close. Instead - eventually - chose to step through together, into a world we quietly began to call our own.
What started as simple conversations became something much more. Day by day, laugh by laugh, moment by moment, we grew closer. The more I got to know her, the more I realised she was truly in a league of her own —and still, she was exactly where I was meant to be. Somewhere between those early chats and shared smiles, friendship turned into something deeper, stronger, undeniable.
Hours spent on video calls and early-morning conversations made me realise that George is the first person I want to greet every day for the rest of my life, and the last face I wish to see before I close my eyes. His world and mine became beautifully intertwined, and nurturing that shared world—and everything within it—became the only thing that truly made sense to me. Not late, but perfectly on time, I met the man I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life loving.
And now, here we are. From a chance meeting at Gene Louw to a love we've built together—what started as a simple greeting became something that feels both beautifully new and deeply familiar.
A story we didn't plan, but one we'll choose, every day. And this is only the beginning...
